On March 20, 2025, the SPIC Guizhou Jinyuan Zhijin Power Station Project (2×660 MW) achieved a one-time successful boiler ignition. This groundbreaking initiative replaced traditional fuel oil with liquefied natural gas (LNG) as the ignition fuel, pioneering the use of clean energy in 660 MW ultra-supercritical "W"-flame boilers. As a key equipment supplier, ZOZEN Boiler delivered customized high-efficiency and intelligent SZS series gas-fired superheated steam boilers, ensuring seamless project execution.
ZOZEN's SZS series gas-fired boilers, powered by LNG, dramatically reduce pollutant emissions compared to conventional oil-fired models. Under equivalent fuel consumption, the system achieves a 53% reduction in CO₂ emissions and over 90% cuts in NOx and SOx emissions, fully aligning with national environmental policies and low-carbon development goals.
LNG’s high combustion efficiency and cost-effectiveness further enhance operational savings. By transitioning from oil to gas, the client now saves over RMB 6 million annually in fuel procurement costs, significantly boosting the project’s economic returns.
The successful boiler ignition marks another innovative milestone for the SZS series gas-fired boilers, showcasing ZOZEN Boiler's cutting-edge technology while setting an exemplary model for the transformation of the thermal power industry.
