With the development of national economy, the demand for industrial boilers is increasing. Coal-fired boiler is one of the most popular boilers in recent decades. But the use of small-scale coal-fired boiler has been limited owing to low efficiency and large pollution. People are looking for environmentally friendly boilers that can replace coal-fired boilers, such as gas-fired boilers and biomass-fired boilers. The natural gas supply and gas pipeline restricted the use of gas-fired boilers, while biomass-fired boilers have been widely used due to their low price and low operating cost.
Boilers using biomass energy as fuel are biomass-fired boilers. Biomass is an important renewable energy with characteristics of green, low-carbon, clean, renewable and so on. Using biomass energy as fuel not only can reduce the emission of harmful substances, but also reduce the operation cost. Owing to the complicated combustion characteristic of biomass fuel, furnace arch burning down, furnace door burning out, hopper catching fire and stopper coking are commonly occurred and inevitable problems of conventional biomass-fired boilers.

DZL series package boilers are horizontal three-pass water & fire tube boilers with a chain grate stoker structure. Threaded smoke tubes are arranged in the drum to form a convection heating surface, while the drum and the water walls on both sides form a radiation heating surface in the furnace.

According to different fuel characteristics, ZOZEN optimized the design of the feeding hopper, the length and width of the fire grate, the rotary speed of gearbox, the primary and second air ratio, the position and direction of the secondary air, etc.
ZOZEN increased the height of furnace, accelerated the speed of stoker, equipped ash blowing devices at convection area, and automatic ash cleaning system at the bottom of stoker.
Biomass fuel features high volatility and low ash content. After combustion, there is almost no ash left on the grate, and the grate is vulnerable to high temperature radiation. ZOZEN chose the heat resistant grates to adapt to the combustion characteristics of biomass fuel.
