The chain grate boiler is a grated fired boiler with a high degree
of mechanization, the chain grate is the combustion equipment. The working principle is to drive the chain
grate to rotate by the reducer, so that the solid fuel can be fired from the front to the end of the boiler,
and the combustion efficiency is greatly improved compared with the fixed grate. When the chain is turned to
the bottom, the air cooling lower the temperature, which can protect the grates from burning loss.
Compared with gas-fired boilers, chain grate boilers do not require
pipe laying. Moreover, its system is simpler, the cost are relatively low, but there are certain defects.
Firstly, chain grate boilers cannot achieve desulfurization in the furnace, and SOx and NOx carried in the
flue gas will cause pollution to the atmosphere. Secondly, the solid fuel particles used by the chain grate
boiler are in different size and the combustion is insufficient, resulting in a generally low thermal
efficiency.
ZOZEN technicians optimized the design of the feeding hopper, the length and width of the fire grate, the rotary speed of gearbox, the primary and second air ratio, the position and direction of the secondary air, etc. to ensure efficient and stable operation of the biomass-fired chain grate boilers.
