The purposes of adding water to the coal

1) Prevent waste. Adding water to the pulverized coal fines can prevent the fines from being blown away by the forced draft fan, which is good to let the coal fines stick together.

2) Improve combustion. Reduce the unevenness of the fire bed caused by uneven coal particles and improve the fuel combustibility.

3) Improve ignition. The coal is relatively dry, so the volatiles are difficult to separate out. It is appropriate to add water to improve ignition.
