ZOZEN’s Green Smoke-Free Boiler Plant

On May 31st, 2023, the 36th World No Tobacco Day was observed, and to mark this special occasion, ZOZEN Boiler held a launching ceremony for establishing a green, smoke-free factory, and issued a call to all employees to "Stay away from tobacco and build a green, smoke-free factory".

As a socially responsible enterprise, ZOZEN Boiler not only creates economic benefits but also pays great attention to the health and safety of its employees. During the launching ceremony, Mr. Zhang Guoping, the General Manager, shared his experience of quitting smoking. Despite having smoked for over 20 years, he successfully quit in 2017. He vividly remembers a friend's words that motivated him, 'You can sell boilers all over the world, so why can't you quit smoking?'.

It was this sentence that made General Manager Zhang determined to quit smoking once and for all, while also gaining a clear understanding of the dangers of smoking at a psychological level. Smoking not only affects the health of the smoker but also poses risks of second-hand and third-hand smoke to those around them, seriously impacting the health of employees. In addition, smoking can cause environmental pollution and fire hazards, posing risks to production and the environment of the company. Therefore, all ZOZEN’s employees must take active action to build a green, smoke-free factory, maintain a smoke-free environment, and promote a healthy lifestyle.

During the process of building a green, smoke-free factory, various difficulties are sure to be encountered. In order to ensure the smooth implementation of this smoking ban, ZOZEN Boiler has established a smoke-free leadership group that will lead all employees in an orderly and effective promotion of the smoking ban.

For every smoker, successfully quitting smoking not only requires firm determination and perseverance but also suitable methods and environment. ZOZEN Boiler has made efforts to create a good environment for quitting smoking. The attending employees have expressed their willingness to actively respond to the call, participate in the smoking ban campaign, and truly implement the smoking ban.

At the end of the launch ceremony, Zhou Guowei, the employee representative, expressed his determination to quit smoking on stage, while Lu Weihong, the deputy manager of the Quality Assurance Department, shared his experience of quitting smoking.
