How should a 10 t/h biomass steam boiler and an 1800 kW biomass thermal oil heater be specified in one quotation?
A project requiring both a 10 t/h biomass steam boiler and an 1800 kW biomass thermal oil heater needs two different heat-transfer systems. The steam boiler supplies saturated or superheated steam for process use, while the thermal oil heater supplies high-temperature thermal oil through a closed circulation loop. ZOZEN can prepare the two systems as separate units with coordinated technical documents, auxiliary equipment lists, and delivery information.
For the steam requirement, a DZL series biomass steam boiler can be considered. The DZL series has a capacity range of 2–10 t/h and a working pressure range of 1–2.5 MPa. For a required capacity of 10 t/h, the selected boiler would be designed around the specified working pressure, steam temperature, feedwater conditions, and biomass fuel. The DZL boiler can burn fuels such as biomass pellets, straw, wood blocks, palm kernel shell, rice husk, corn cob, and waste wood, provided that the feeding and combustion system are matched to the fuel characteristics.
For the 1800 kW thermal oil requirement, a YLW series biomass-fired horizontal thermal oil heater can be evaluated. The YLW biomass thermal oil heater has a capacity range of 2,800–29,200 kW according to the available product information, so an 1800 kW requirement falls below that stated range. The technical team should therefore review whether the customer’s 1800 kW refers to the required heat output, fuel input, or another design value. A suitable model and configuration should only be confirmed after this point is clarified.
The thermal oil heater system normally includes the heater body, thermal oil circulating pump, expansion tank, storage tank, oil filter, fuel-feeding system, combustion air fans, induced-draft fan, dust collector, chimney, control cabinet, safety accessories, and thermal oil. The steam boiler system may include the boiler, burner or biomass combustion system, feedwater pump, water treatment system, economizer, dust collector, chimney, control cabinet, and blowdown equipment.
Using two biomass heat sources may allow one fuel storage and handling concept to serve both systems, but this depends on the boiler-room layout and operating schedules. The fuel type, moisture content, particle size, ash content, daily consumption, and storage period should be assessed before the feeding system is designed. The two units may also require separate combustion control strategies because their heat-transfer media and operating temperatures are different.
The quotation package should include technical specifications, product drawings, fuel requirements, auxiliary equipment, control functions, foundation loads, installation scope, spare parts, packing method, delivery terms, and commissioning support. Product pictures and operation videos can be supplied as part of the technical communication package, subject to product availability.
ZOZEN has experience in manufacturing biomass steam boilers and thermal oil heaters for industrial applications. The company can coordinate both equipment lines through one project team and provide design support for the boiler room, fuel system, flue-gas system, control system, installation, and commissioning. For this project, the 10 t/h biomass steam boiler can be developed within the DZL capacity range, while the 1800 kW thermal oil heater capacity requires technical confirmation before a final model and price are issued.

South America is rich in agricultural and energy resources and has a diverse manufacturing base. Industries such as papermaking, packaging and sugar processing are upgrading their production equipment as market and environmental requirements evolve. For these companies, a boiler is more than a steam source. Its performance affects production continuity, fuel consumption, process quality and emissions management. Through projects in Venezuela, Brazil and Ecuador, ZOZEN Boiler has continued to ex...21 Jul 2026 -
As the 2026 FIFA World Cup brings the United States, Mexico and Canada into the international spotlight, attention is once again turning to the cities, industries and communities across North America. Away from the stadiums, manufacturing plants, beverage production lines and automotive component facilities continue their daily operations, providing steady support for local economies. At the production site of a pharmaceutical company in Shanghai, a ZOZEN gas-fired steam boiler commissioned in 2010 has been operating steadily for 16 years. For this established pharmaceutical company, founded in 1995, the steam system is closely related to production rhythm, process coordination, and on-site operation support. Whether the equipment can maintain stable operation over the long term directly affects the continuity of daily production. Time is a practical test, and the continuous ...07 Jul 2026
