What type of boiler for textile industry is suitable for textile production?
The suitable boiler for textile industry production depends on the factory’s steam demand, process temperature, fuel availability, working pressure, and operating schedule. Textile factories commonly use steam or thermal oil for dyeing, washing, drying, sizing, fabric finishing, heat setting, and other production procedures.
A gas-fired or oil-fired steam boiler may be suitable for textile factories that require clean combustion and automatic operation. ZOZEN WNS series oil and gas-fired steam boilers have a capacity range of 1–20 t/h and a working pressure range of 0.7–2 MPa. For larger textile mills, SZS series oil and gas-fired saturated steam boilers cover a capacity range of 2–110 t/h, with working pressure from 1.25–5.3 MPa and working temperature from 193–270°C.
A boiler for textile industry applications should be selected according to the combined steam consumption of all production equipment. The calculation should include normal load, peak load, simultaneous equipment start-up, condensate return, operating hours, and possible future expansion. If the boiler capacity is too small, steam pressure may fluctuate during peak production. If the capacity is much higher than the actual demand, fuel and operating costs may increase.
Biomass boilers can also be considered when a textile factory has a stable supply of biomass pellets, wood waste, rice husks, palm shells, corn cobs, straw, or similar fuels. ZOZEN DZL series biomass steam boilers cover 2–10 t/h, while SZL series biomass steam boilers cover 6–35 t/h. The stated thermal efficiency of the SZL series is above 86%.
Water treatment is another important part of a boiler for textile industry system. Proper water treatment helps reduce scale and corrosion in pressure components and heat-transfer surfaces. The treatment scheme should be designed according to the raw-water analysis and boiler pressure.
