Recently, Wuxi ZOZEN Boilers Co., Ltd. received a letter of appreciation from Yanjing Beer (Guilin Lijiang) Co., Ltd. The letter was related to a customized WNS 10 TPH natural gas-fired steam boiler delivered before the May Day holiday in 2025. The boiler has now been in operation for more than one year. Looking back at the project, the original standard design had to be revised into a customized solution adapted to the site conditions. The equipment then entered the site as scheduled following several rounds of coordination and confirmation. During this process, ZOZEN Boiler and the customer worked together to address the practical challenges of the project.

From a Standard Design to a Customized Solution
For breweries, steam is used throughout multiple processes, including mashing, boiling, pasteurization, and CIP cleaning. Whether the boiler can arrive on schedule directly affects subsequent installation and production arrangements.

The Yanjing Beer project was initially planned around a standard boiler design, with a required delivery period of 40 days. By comparison, a customized boiler normally requires a delivery period of around 60 days. During the project, the site conditions changed. Some of the existing auxiliary facilities in the customer’s boiler room needed to be retained, but the overall dimensions of the standard boiler did not meet the site access and layout requirements. As a result, the original design had to be revised urgently.

Because the project had limited time for design modification and manufacturing, the schedule became tighter. At the same time, the customer clearly required the boiler to enter the site before the May Day holiday; otherwise, subsequent production arrangements could be affected.

After receiving the updated site information, ZOZEN Boiler’s sales team promptly reported the situation to the company. Mr. Hu, the project manager, immediately contacted the design and technical departments at the factory to reconfirm the boiler dimensions, interface layout, and site requirements, and quickly promoted the revision of the design drawings.

Coordination Across Departments for Rapid Design Confirmation
Adjusting a customized boiler design involves multiple aspects, including equipment structure, interface positions, auxiliary facilities, and on-site installation conditions. After the design is confirmed, it must also be checked with the customer to prevent installation coordination issues after delivery.

Throughout the project, ZOZEN Boiler’s sales, design, technical, and production teams maintained close communication and confirmed the customer’s boiler room conditions item by item. Once the drawings were revised, the relevant departments promptly proceeded with manufacturing and delivery arrangements.

From receiving site feedback and revising the drawings to organizing production, each stage was closely connected. After completing the necessary manufacturing and inspection procedures, ZOZEN Boiler arranged the production schedule properly to ensure that the customized WNS 10 TPH natural gas-fired steam boiler entered the site as planned.

The boiler ultimately arrived at the site before the May Day holiday in 2025, providing time for the customer’s subsequent installation and production arrangements. The prompt response of ZOZEN Boiler’s sales team and factory departments was also recognized by the customer.

Yanjing Beer (Guilin Lijiang) Co., Ltd. is an important enterprise in China’s brewing industry. Its predecessor, Guilin Lijiang Co., Ltd., was established in 1985 and officially started production in 1987. At present, the Guilin headquarters of Yanjing Lijiang has an annual production capacity of 800,000 tons. Together with its controlled companies in Yulin and Kunming, the combined annual production capacity has reached 1.5 million tons.

Based on the customer’s brewing processes and site conditions, ZOZEN Boiler supplied a customized WNS 10 TPH natural gas-fired steam boiler.

The boiler uses natural gas as fuel and is equipped with a low-NOx combustion system. According to the project information, the boiler’s NOx emissions are below 30 mg/Nm³, meeting the customer’s requirements for clean combustion and environmentally conscious operation.

The WNS series boiler adopts a horizontal fire-tube, three-pass, wet-back structure. High-temperature flue gas passes through multiple heat-transfer sections inside the boiler, supporting effective heat utilization. The boiler is also equipped with an automatic control system and safety interlocks for centralized operating management. It is suitable for steam supply in food, beverage, chemical, textile, and other industries.
