35t/h & 6t/h Gas-Fired Steam Boiler Project for 10,000-ton Tomato Paste Production Line

Recently, a prominent tomato product company in Xinjiang launched a project to expand its tomato paste production line to an annual capacity of 10,000 tons, responding to environmental regulations and market demand. 1. Gas-Fired Steam Boilers: The "Thermal Heart" of Food Processing
For the tomato paste industry, the gas-fired steam boiler is more than just energy equipment; it is a decisive factor in product color, texture, and shelf life. From cleaning, preheating, and crushing to pulping, vacuum concentration, and sterilization, every step requires a stable and clean supply of high-temperature steam.

2. Why Upgrade the Boiler System?
The company previously relied on three 10t/h coal-fired boilers. As the business grew, these units revealed two major drawbacks:

Environmental Pressure: Particulate and SO2 emissions from coal combustion could not meet the strict requirements of the "Emission Standard of Air Pollutants for Boiler" (GB13271-2014) for key regions.
Capacity Bottleneck: The old equipment could not support the high load of the new 500-ton and 1000-ton daily processing lines.
To resolve these issues, the company decided to replace the coal facilities with a high-efficiency, eco-friendly gas-fired steam boiler system. The new system required rapid start-stop capabilities and flexible regulation, as heating is not needed during the non-production winter season.

3. Selection Strategy: Flexible Configuration for Load Fluctuations
Instead of recommending a single large unit, ZOZEN's technical team designed a "35t/h SZS series + 6t/h WNS series" combination based on the customer's specific production loads (500t/day and 1000t/day lines).

Primary Load (SZS35-1.6-Q): This 35-ton double-drum longitudinal boiler handles the peak steam demand for the 1000-ton processing line, ensuring stable steam pressure during mass production.
Flexible Auxiliary (WNS6-1.6-Q): The 6-ton boiler serves the 500-ton line or operates independently during low seasons and commissioning. This prevents energy waste caused by running a large boiler for a small load.
This "Primary + Auxiliary" configuration covers all heating demands while enabling precise operational cost control.

4. Technical Advantages & Environmental Performance

SZS Series Highlights:
The SZS series features a full membrane wall construction and a "D" type arrangement. The large furnace design, combined with advanced low-NOx burners, ensures complete combustion and suppresses NOx formation at the source. Actual emissions are well below the 50mg/m³ standard. Additionally, the double-drum design provides ample steam-water space, delivering high-quality steam with low moisture content—ideal for the tomato paste concentration process.

WNS Series Efficiency:
The 6-ton WNS boiler utilizes a large-diameter corrugated furnace and threaded smoke tubes to enhance heat transfer. With a condenser added at the flue gas outlet, exhaust temperatures are significantly reduced, boosting thermal efficiency to over 98%.
