Can the pressure-bearing boiler be set in the basement? It is necessary to refer to the relevant design codes of boiler room, mainly including the Code for Design of Boiler Room and the Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings, which stipulate:

1. Boiler room should be an independent building.

2. residential buildings, should not be set up boiler room.

3. When the boiler room is connected with other buildings or set inside it, it is strictly forbidden to set it on the upper floor, the lower floor, the adjacent position of the crowded places and important departments, as well as on both sides of the main passages and evacuation ports, and it should be set on the first floor or basement floor near the external wall of the building.

Note: When the boiler room is difficult to be arranged as an independent building and needs to be connected with other buildings or set inside it, in order to ensure safety, it is specially stipulated that it should not be arranged on the upper floor, the lower floor, the adjacent position, the main passage and the two sides of the evacuation exit in crowded places and important departments (such as public bathrooms, classrooms, restaurants, auditorium of theaters, meeting rooms, waiting rooms, archives rooms, shops, banks and waiting rooms).

Note: The boiler room is located on the first floor and underground floor, which is beneficial to explosion venting, safety and fire control.

Note: It should be noted that the height of the boiler room itself exceeds the height of one floor, and when it is located in other buildings, it may occupy the height of two floors. As long as the boiler room itself is arranged as one floor and there is no floor in the middle, it will still be regarded as the first floor or the first floor, regardless of whether it has reached the second floor or the second floor of the building.
