In Indonesia, PT Pakan Sehat Unggul (PT PSU) is a well-known local producer of animal feed and livestock products. Animal feed production requires a continuous and stringent steam supply: steam is used for raw material sterilization, conditioning/cooking, and mixing, directly affecting product quality and production capacity. At the same time, local enterprises aim to utilize agricultural by-products such as palm shells to lower energy costs and achieve both economic and environmental goals.

To meet PT PSU’s specific needs, ZOZEN Boiler customized an SZL10-1.25-SS biomass steam boiler. From the design stage, the solution accounted for the combustion characteristics of palm shells, adopting a horizontal double-drum, longitudinal arrangement with an advanced chain grate. This improves the uniformity of fuel distribution and reduces slagging and grate jamming. In actual operation, the boiler achieves a thermal efficiency of over 86%, with complete combustion and low carbon content in ash, ensuring production continuity while reducing operating costs. By using locally available biomass resources as fuel, PT PSU has achieved greener production and enhanced its competitiveness.

Back in China, Hubei Jinying Biotechnology, a high-tech enterprise in the health food sector, integrates green and energy-saving concepts throughout its production. Processes such as extraction, concentration, and sterilization for tonic pastes and enzyme products impose strict requirements on steam quality and boiler energy efficiency.

For this customer, ZOZEN recommended the SZL series biomass boiler, which combines an innovative chain grate with independent air chambers to precisely match fuel and air, promoting complete combustion. The boiler body features densely arranged water-cooled wall tubes and a large radiant heat-absorbing surface area, keeping thermal efficiency above 86%. The accompanying flue gas treatment system effectively reduces multiple pollutant emissions, meeting the enterprise’s dual standards for environmental protection and energy conservation.

According to customer feedback, since commissioning, the SZL series boiler has operated stably with a high level of automation, providing reliable steam while significantly reducing energy consumption and management workload.
