What water should be used to produce the steam in the boiler?
The quality of the water used to produce the steam in the boiler will have a profound effect on meeting the objectives such as safe operation, maximum combustion and heat transfer efficiency, minimum maintenance and long working life.

No direct contact: Boiler water, combustion gases, or particulates must not come into contact with food.

3. Emission Standards
Adherence to environmental regulations: Limits on SO₂, NOₓ, particulate matter, and CO emissions.
Dust collectors and scrubbers: Installation of filtration and scrubbing systems to reduce emissions.
Ash handling: Safe disposal or treatment of coal ash to avoid contamination.
4. Energy Efficiency
High thermal efficiency: To minimize fuel consumption and operational costs.
Heat recovery systems: Use of economizers or air preheaters to improve efficiency.
5. Automation and Control
Automated controls: For fuel feeding, combustion, blowdown, and water supply.
Safety interlocks: To prevent accidents and ensure safe operation.
