What is the calorific value of common boiler coal?

21 Oct 2022

The fuel of the boiler needs to be determined in advance before the user adopts the equipment, and the calorie of coal used in the boiler directly affects the choice of the type of coal-fired boiler. Here, ZOZEN Boiler summarizes the calorific value of common boiler coal calories, hoping to be helpful to everyone.

Common boiler coal calorific value is 5500kcal/kg-7000kcal/kg.

China's power coal mainly includes bituminous coal, anthracite and lignite. Coal is mainly composed of carbon (C), hydrogen (H), oxygen (O), nitrogen (N), sulfur (S) and some rare elements and minerals. The content of moisture, calorific value, ash content, volatile matter and fixed carbon in coal can be determined from industrial analysis. Besides how many calories the boiler uses, other factors also affect the combustion efficiency of the boiler.

How many calories of coal are used in the boiler? Naturally, the coal with high calorific value and easy burnout should be selected, and the unit price of fuel should be balanced for comprehensive consideration.

ZOZEN Boiler has been designing and manufacturing coal-fired boilers since its establishment, and its technology is mature, with projects all over the world in nearly 100 countries and regions. The company pays attention to technological innovation. In the process of boiler design, technicians deeply study how many calories the boiler uses, optimize and adjust the boiler body and system, add economizer, air preheater and other energy-saving equipment, effectively improve the thermal efficiency, and make the boiler output sufficient.

At present, the coal-fired boilers covered by the company can be divided into six series: SZL series coal-fired boiler, DZL series coal-fired boiler, SHX series circulating fluidized bed boiler, DHX series circulating fluidized bed boiler, DHL series corner tube coal-fired boiler, SHL series double-drum coal-fired boiler and YLW series coal-fired thermal oil heater.
