What is the water consumption of 1-ton boiler in 1 hour?
In recent years, with the rapid development of economy, the demand for boilers has also increased. During the daily operation of the boiler, it mainly consumes fuel, electricity and water, among which the water consumption of the boiler not only relates to the cost accounting, but also affects the calculation of the boiler water supply. This paper introduces the water consumption of a boiler by taking the one-hour water consumption of a steam-ton boiler as an example.
The water consumption of 1-ton boiler in one hour
Water used in boiler room is mainly divided into three categories: production water, domestic water and coal humidification water. Among them, the production water is mainly circulating water, which is mainly used to make up water for boiler heating network circulation system, cooling water for induced draft fan bearings, desulfurization water, ion exchanger resin regeneration water, periodic sewage cooling water and slag flushing water. However, only evaporation and system loss are generally considered in the calculation process.
The specific calculation method of one-hour water consumption of one-ton steam boiler is as follows:
One-hour water consumption of one-ton boiler = boiler evaporation + steam water loss = boiler evaporation + boiler blowdown loss + pipeline steam-water loss
The boiler blowdown loss is 1-5%, and the pipeline steam-water loss is 3%.
1. If the condensed water can't be recovered after the boiler steam is used, one hour water consumption of a steam-ton boiler = boiler tonnage * running time (1+3%+3%).
2. If the condensed water can be recovered after the boiler steam is used, the water consumption of a ton-steaming boiler will take 20-40% of the daily evaporation water.
ZOZEN Boiler pays attention to the steam boiler water saving
It is a problem that every boiler manufacturer needs to consider to save water and reduce consumption. As a professional boiler brand, ZOZEN Boiler can reasonably set up a water treatment system, improve the quality of boiler water and effectively reduce the boiler sewage discharge rate. At the same time, ZOZEN Boiler also innovatively researched and developed the boiler condensate recovery technology, with high return water utilization rate, and lower water consumption per hour for a ton of steam boiler.
ZOZEN steam boiler covers oil-fired and gas-fired steam boiler, coal-fired steam boiler, biomass steam boiler and circulating fluidized bed steam boiler. The capacity of a single boiler is as high as 130t/h, meeting the heat demand of users in various industries.

On the beverage and liquor production line, steam is never merely an auxiliary energy source. Whether for beverage heating, beer brewing, or the relevant processes in vodka production, the steam system runs through the entire production flow. For enterprises, the stable operation of the boiler directly affects the workshop rhythm, process connection, and daily management efficiency. Recently, the SHX series circulating fluidized bed boiler provided by ZOZEN Boiler for a Mongolian enterprise&mdas...31 Mar 2026 -
For many manufacturers with mature production experience in China, expanding capacity overseas or building a new factory abroad often starts with one key question: can the local infrastructure and energy supply support long-term operation? This is especially important in Africa. In many countries, raw materials such as timber are readily available, while conventional fuels like natural gas and diesel are often more expensive and less stable in supply. For plywood plants, this creates a practica...24 Mar 2026 -
From late 2025 to early 2026, forward-looking reports from the World Economic Forum (WEF) and other organizations indicated that despite significant growth in global renewable energy capacity in 2024, global carbon dioxide emissions still reached historical highs. Facing severe climate safety challenges, multiple countries globally have introduced stricter environmental policies to promote a green and low-carbon economic transition. In this macro context, energy conservation and emission reducti...17 Mar 2026
