Water treatment outside the boiler
Before entering the boiler, raw water is treated with water treatment equipment to remove impurities such as hardness, salinity, dissolved oxygen, etc., so that the feed water can meet the water quality requirements specified by steam boiler. Common water treatment equipment includes sodium ion exchange water softening equipment, ion exchange desalination equipment, reverse osmosis water purification equipment and thermal oxygen removal equipment.

The chain grate is the combustion equipment of coal-fired steam boiler. There are three main types and structures: chain belt grate, scale grate and beam grate.
The quality of the water used to produce the steam in the boiler will have a profound effect on meeting the objectives such as safe operation, maximum combustion and heat transfer efficiency, minimum maintenance and long working life.
If the boiler gives overpressure indicator which affects boiler's safe operation, depressurization measures should be taken. However, please pay attention that depressurization can not be too fast. After the overpressure problem of steam boiler is solved, we should check the internal and external parts of boiler to ensure that everything is going well.
Here load means, amount of steam drawn from the boiler. So when the load increases, the specific volume of the steam in the boiler increases reducing the pressure. This inturn demands for more feed water and more amount of fuel to be burnt. So, for any boiler there will be a feed water level control system put in place to measure the water level in drum. As and when the level of water in the drum reduces, the controller sends a signal to the feed water pump to start and stops when the desired water level is reached. This way the steam generation continues to maintain the desired pressure.
Regular inspections can identify and correct faults in the safety systems that are designed to prevent accidents.
When it comes to regular maintenance, the cost of the inspections and repairs will be dramatically lower than the loss of time and profit from a broken boiler that requires replacing. Don’t let maintenance fall by the wayside. Schedule it at even intervals throughout the year.
