What are the main aspects of the importance of boilers?

In the process of the development of national economy, the importance of boilers is self-evident. The so-called boiler is a device that uses the heat energy released by fuel incineration to heat water or other media, so as to obtain steam, hot water or other media with specific parameters (temperature and pressure).

 

Boiler is a kind of special equipment which operates under high temperature and pressure and is widely applied. The importance of boiler is mainly shown in the following aspects.

 

  1. Boiler is widely used and is directly related to the development of the national economy.

Boiler is not only the "heart" of thermal power plants, but also the key equipment in chemical, textile, printing and dyeing, heating, food, tobacco, feed, medicine, building materials, brewing, rubber and other industries. Meanwhile, food processing, medical disinfection, bathing and heating are all inseparable from industrial boilers.

 

  1. The boiler is a sealed container, and the importance of safety to the boiler is obvious.

As a special equipment, the safety of boiler is very important. Once the boiler explodes, the pressure in the boiler drops sharply, and the high-temperature saturated water evaporates with its latent heat, expanding hundreds of times in volume, forming a shock wave, causing buildings to collapse, causing serious damage and casualties.

 

  1. The working conditions are poor, and the importance of regular inspection to boilers cannot be ignored.

The boiler body runs under high temperature and high pressure, the working condition is worse than ordinary mechanical equipment. For example, smoke, fire, ash, steam and scale which are widely exposed inside and outside the heating surface will corrode boiler components under certain conditions. When the boiler is running, the corresponding pressure breaks out on the pressure parts. With the change of load and incineration, the pressure will also change, which may lead to fatigue failure of the pressure parts.
