How much water does a boiler need to produce a ton of steam?
Boiler is a big water user, and it keeps increasing. It is a problem that every boiler manufacturer needs to consider to save water and reduce consumption. So do you know how much water a boiler needs to produce a ton of steam? Here, ZOZEN Boiler will answer your questions.
What is the concept of a ton boiler?
Generally, a one-ton boiler refers to a steam boiler with a rated evaporation capacity of one ton, or a hot water boiler or a heat conduction oil boiler with a heat supply capacity of 0.7MW.
1-ton boiler is a small-sized boiler. Usually, the pressure of one-ton boiler is normal pressure, 0.7MPa and 1.0MPa, and it can burn gas, oil, coal and biomass. That's the explanation of the concept of one-ton boiler.
Boiler water consumption = boiler evaporation+steam loss = boiler evaporation+boiler blowdown loss+pipeline steam loss.
Among them, the boiler blowdown loss is 1-5%, and the pipeline steam loss is 3%.
1. Without condensated water recovery device
The calculation of how much water the boiler needs to produce one ton of steam is 1.08t, or even more if there are other losses.
2. With Condensed water recovery device
How much water the boiler needs to produce one ton of steam needs to subtract the amount of condensate recovery from the above.
ZOZEN steam boiler saves water and energy
The above is only the theoretical value of how much water the boiler needs to produce one ton of steam, and the specific number needs to be determined according to the actual situation. But it is not difficult to find that the condensate water recovery device can improve the energy utilization rate of the boiler.
As a professional boiler brand, ZOZEN boiler fully considers the water saving and consumption reduction of the boiler system when setting up the system. Combined with the user's process, ZOZEN boiler can reasonably set up a water treatment system to improve the quality of boiler water and effectively reduce the boiler blowdown rate. At the same time, ZOZEN Boiler has also innovated and developed boiler condensate water recovery technology, which has a high return water utilization rate and a lower amount of water required by the boiler to generate one ton of steam.
ZOZEN steam boilers cover oil-fired gas-fired steam boilers, coal-fired steam boilers, biomass steam boilers, and circulating fluidized bed steam boilers. The capacity of a single boiler is as high as 130t/h, meeting the heat needs of users in various industries.
