What causes the high exhausted gas temperature of the thermal oil heater?

16 Sep 2022

The exhaust gas loss of thermal oil heater refers to the heat that is taken away with the exhaust of flue gas, which is called exhaust heat loss. The heat loss of boiler exhaust flue gas is particularly important, accounting for a large proportion, about 4~8%. So what causes the high exhausted gas temperature of the thermal oil heater?

Boiler exhaust gas temperature standard

Before explaining what causes the high exhaust gas temperature of the thermal oil heater, let you first understand the exhaust gas standard of the boiler.

(1) For steam boilers with rated evaporation less than 1t/h, not higher than 230℃;

(2) Hot water boilers with rated thermal power less than 0.7MW, not higher than 180℃;

(3) Steam boilers with rated evaporation greater than or equal to 1t/h and hot water boilers with rated thermal power greater than or equal to 0.7MW, not higher than 170℃;

(4) Organic heat carrier boilers with rated thermal power less than or equal to 1.4MW, not higher than the inlet medium +50℃;

(5) For organic heat carrier boilers with rated thermal power greater than 1.4MW, not higher than 170℃.

What is the reason for the high exhaust gas temperature of the heat transfer oil boiler?

The main reasons for the high exhaust gas temperature are the volume of the flue gas and the temperature of the exhaust gas. If the volume of the flue gas is large, the temperature of the exhaust gas is high, and the heat loss taken away by the exhaust gas is also large.

  1. The level of exhaust gas temperature mainly depends on the number of heating surfaces and operating conditions;
  2. The amount of smoke exhaust depends on the excess air coefficient and the air leakage of the furnace and flue.

How to reasonably control the boiler exhaust gas temperature?

After understanding what causes the high exhaust gas temperature of the heat transfer oil boiler, the next step is to reasonably control the exhaust gas temperature of the boiler.

The air preheater, waste heat boiler and other energy-saving devices are added at the tail of the flue of the ZOZEN heat-conducting oil boiler to fully absorb the waste heat in the flue gas and effectively reduce the temperature of the exhaust gas, thereby saving the operation cost. It is worth noting that the exhaust gas temperature is not as low as possible, it must be higher than the dew point temperature to avoid tail flue corrosion.

In addition, ZOZEN Boiler applies intelligent programs to the control system, and the tedious work procedures will now be automated through the screen. The pressure, flow, drum water level, steam temperature and other parameters of the water supply pipeline can be automatically monitored and displayed, and the boiler's water supply system and combustion system can be automatically adjusted, which greatly improves the labor intensity of the stoker and ensures that the boiler The safety of operation and the economic benefit of the enterprise are improved, and there is no need to worry about what is causing the high exhaust gas temperature of the boiler.
