What are the reasons for insufficient burning in the coal chain grate boilers?
The first reason is unreasonable structural design.
In the operation of chain grate boiler, uneven distribution of short coal seams in grate, improper adjustment of coal feeder, unreasonable control of coal seams and poor regulation performance of air supply volume in air chamber will all lead to insufficient burning of coal.
The second reason is unreasonable setting of secondary air.
If the primary wind speed is too high, the air volume is too large, and the air rate is too large, the pulverized coal concentration is obviously low, and insufficient preheating will cause the ignition point of pulverized coal to increase, and successive flames cannot be formed. Improper selection of secondary air distribution will greatly reduce the flame temperature.
The third reason is coal quality.
The basic requirements of the boiler for fuel are very high. The coal with the particle size of 25mm-40mm is less than 30%, the large particle size is less than 40mm, the moisture is 12%-20%, the volatile matter is greater than 18%, the calorific value is greater than 4200 kcal/kg, and the ash melting point is not lower than 1100℃. If the ash content in coal increases and the evaporation content is low, it is not conducive to the dispersed combustion of pulverized coal.

See You in Dhaka on April 29 | ZOZEN Boiler Confirms Participation in BTKG 2026 Bangladesh ranks among the world's major garment and textile producing and exporting countries. Its extensive textile and dyeing industry maintains a consistent, concrete demand for stable and efficient industrial heat sources. From April 29 to May 2, 2026, the Bangladesh International Textile, Knitting & Garment Industry Exhibition (BTKG 2026) will be held at the ICCB International Convention City Bashundhara i...21 Apr 2026 -
In Pakistan, garment manufacturing and fabric processing remain important parts of industrial production. For these factories, steam is not an auxiliary utility but a core part of the production chain. Processes such as dyeing, drying, heat setting, and finishing all require a stable and continuous steam supply. Any fluctuation in steam output may affect production rhythm. Against this background, more textile companies in Pakistan are paying closer attention to fuel adaptability, operating sta...14 Apr 2026 -
Mongolia's industrial sector has been expanding steadily. Demand for reliable heat supply is growing — particularly in food and beverage manufacturing and urban district heating. Coal is the dominant industrial fuel. The continental climate means heating systems run for long periods each year. At the same time, factories are raising their standards for steam quality, equipment uptime, and emissions compliance. These factors together make boiler selection a more demanding process than it us...07 Apr 2026
