  • What causes the serious coal leakages of fire grate of coal-fired boilers? 2023-12-29
Serious coal leakages in the fire grate of coal-fired boilers can be caused by several factors, each impacting the efficiency and safety of the boiler operation. Understanding and addressing these issues is crucial for maintaining optimal performance. Here are some common causes: Wear and Tear: Over time, the fire grate components can wear down due to the constant exposure to high temperatures and the abrasive nature of coal. This wear can create gaps through which coal can fall. Improper Grat...
  • What is the advantages of a biomass-fired boiler? 2020-02-13
Firstly, the combustion of biomass fuel is easy to control. The fuel is easy to ignite. Besides, the combustion speed is faster than that of coal. Secondly, the biomass-fired boiler can be ignited and extinguished at any time while the coal-fired boiler cannot. The biomass-fired boiler can also be ignited automatically. Thirdly, the biomass-fired boiler can achieve zero emission of sulfur dioxide, which belongs to environment-friendly boilers.
  • What are the characteristics of the pellet fuel used in biomass-fired boilers? 2020-02-13
    1. The fuel volume is 1 / 30 ~ 40 of the raw material volume after molding; 2. The specific gravity is 10-15 times of the raw material, and the moisture content is between 12% and 18% (the moisture content of coal is below 10-15); 3. The net calorific value can reach 3500-4500 kcal (the net calorific value of class II bituminous coal is 3700-4700 kcal / kg); 4. The ash content is less than 10% (the ash content of coal is more than 20%); 5. Volatile matter ≥ 65.62% (volatile matter of class II bituminous coal≥20%). 6. Biomass fuel belongs to renewable clean energy, which is the same as wind energy and solar energy. The biomass fuel is rich in resources, it can ensure the sustainable use of energy. 7. The sulfur content and nitrogen content of biomass fuel are low, the amount of SOx and NOx generated in the combustion process is low.
  • What is the combustion efficiency of an industrial boiler? 2020-01-24
Combustion efficiency is an indication of the burner’s ability to burn fuel. The amount of unburned fuel and excess air in the exhaust are used to assess a burner’s combustion efficiency. Burners resulting in low levels of unburned fuel while operating at low excess air levels are considered efficient. Well designed conventional burners firing gaseous and liquid fuels operate at excess air levels of 15% and result in negligible unburned fuel. Well designed ultra low emissions burners operate at a higher excess air level of 25% in order to reduce emissions to very low levels. By operating at the minimum excess air requirement, less heat from the combustion process is being used to heat excess combustion air, which increases the energy available for the load. Combustion efficiency is not the same for all fuels and, generally, gaseous and liquid fuels burn more efficiently than solid fuels.
  • What is the impact of excess air on efficiency? 2019-12-20
In theory, to have the most efficient combustion in any combustion process, the quantity of fuel and air would be in a perfect ratio to provide perfect combustion with no unused fuel or air. This type of theoretical perfect combustion is called stoichiometric combustion. In practice, however, for safety and maintenance needs, additional air beyond the theoretical "perfect ratio" needs to be added to the combustion process - this is referred to as "excess air".
  • What is the primary air rate of the boiler? 2019-12-13
In order to improve the combustion efficiency of the boiler, in a large boiler, the combustion air is not supplied all at once, but is supplied in two times, one is supplied with the fuel that controls the rate of combustion as well as the amount of fuel that can be burned, and the other is directly supplied to the combustion process that that improves combustion efficiency. The primary air rate of the boiler refers to the proportion of the primary air. If the total air volume is 100% and the primary air rate is 70%, the secondary air rate is 30%.
  • What maintenance does a biomass boiler require? 2019-05-10
We would recommend your biomass boiler has at least an annual maintenance service. Like anything if you maintain your boiler correctly it will last longer and perform better. Biomass boilers burning even the most difficult of materials can operate unattended, but weekly inspection visits are required to carry out a visual inspection of the boiler and fuel feed system, to check the lubrication of bearings and to empty the ashbin. • Why are there percussive sounds and vibrations in the boiler drum or pipe of a coal-fired boiler? (water impact) 2018-07-12
Question details (Performance):The steam pipe vibrates violently and has a dull impact sound.Answer:  fault reason: There is air in pipeline  ; automatic air vent valve is not turned on; or it is out of order. Troubleshooting: Check all the air release valves on the water supply pipe and the air release valves on the top of the boiler tube for gas storage. If the valve fails, it should be replaced immediately.
