A hybrid or combination boiler system refers to a heating system that combines two different types of heating technologies or fuels to optimize efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness. This system typically involves the integration of a traditional gas or oil boiler with a renewable energy source, such as a solar thermal system, a biomass boiler, or a heat pump. The idea is to harness the strengths of both systems to achieve greater energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.

There are several ways to estimate the thermal efficiency of gas-fired boilers:
1. Direct method: This method involves measuring the amount of fuel consumed and the amount of heat produced by the boiler. By comparing these two values, it is possible to calculate the thermal efficiency of the boiler.
2. Indirect method: The indirect method involves measuring various parameters such as flue gas temperature, ambient air temperature, and fuel consumption, and then calculating the t...
Vertical boilers are a type of boiler that is designed to occupy minimal floor space while still delivering the same output as a larger horizontal boiler. The weight of a vertical boiler will vary depending on its size and capacity.
ZOZEN is a leading manufacturer of industrial boilers, including vertical boilers. Their vertical boilers come in a range of sizes and capacities to suit various applications in industries such as food processing, pharmaceuticals, and chemical manufacturing. ZOZEN's...
The boiler in the bathhouse provides hot water for bathing and heating, and it is an essential product in bathhouses. Generally, it is hot water boiler. With the elimination and banning of coal-fired boilers, many users choose energy-saving and environment-friendly gas-fired boilers. Then how much is a suitable gas-fired boiler?
First of all, we have to determine the boiler plan. Bathhouses mainly need to supply hot water and winter heating all the year round. There are two main options: one se...
Raw water: refers to water that has not been disinfected and filtered, such as river water, stream water, well water, reservoir water, etc.
Feed water: refers to the chemical water delivered from deaerator to boiler by feed pump.
Make-up water: Make-up water for boiler is to make up the lost part or externally supplied part after completing a steam-water cycle, so that the boiler can always operate at a safe water level.
Recycling condensing water: When the heat energy of steam or hot water i...
Today, there are two main types of green boilers used in different industries: biomass boilers and condensing boilers. Each of these operates in completely different ways to reduce your carbon footprint.
Biomass Boilers
Biomass boilers operate by burning wood and other renewable organic materials to produce heat. There are automatic biomass boilers that control the amount of air and fuel that is used, making them even more efficient. To keep this boiler running, owners will need ample ...
People assume that owning a biomass boiler is no different from owning its less environmentally friendly cousins, the oil and gas boilers. Nothing could be further from the truth, and it is this very misconception which leads to abuse and neglect of the maintenance that a biomass boiler needs, if it is to retain its environmental and economic saving potential. This is especially true given the tendency of many installers to skimp on providing the proper support services and education to their customers.
A condensing boiler can condense the water vapour in the flue gases and withstand the corrosive and acidic qualities of the flue gas condensate. Although most boilers can condense the flue gasses, only boilers that have heat exchangers constructed from materials able to withstand the corrosion should be used in condensing application. Condensing boilers with primary and secondary heat exchanger do not work well as they are not able to fully condense and defeat the purpose of using a condensing boiler. Also, boilers with this arrangement are prone to condensation in the primary heat exchanger at lower firing rate which can cause damage to the heat exchanger.
