What is the difference between steam generator and steam boiler?

A steam generator is a mechanical equipment that uses the heat energy of fuel or other energy resources to heat water into hot water or steam. It belongs to small equipment and is a kind of steam boiler. According to Boiler Safety Technical Inspection Regulations, a boiler whose water volume exceeds 30 litres belongs to pressure container, national special equipment. There is no need of water storage in the internal structure of modular steam generator concurrent pipeline and the water volume is less than 30 litres, so the steam generator is free from the inspection and examination.

A steam boiler is a kind of heat-exchange equipment that uses the heat energy generated by fuel combustion to heat water into steam with a certain temperature and pressure, which is widely used in the production process of industrial enterprises. It belongs to special equipment, has high requirements for enterprise qualification and product safety, and requires annual inspection.

Steam boiler contains steam generator, but steam generator is not steam boiler. The steam boiler has better quality and sufficient output. The steam boiler is more suitable for industrial uninterrupted steam supply. The steam boiler has low costs of water treatment. The steam boiler has larger capacity range.
