Thread smoke tubes in the drum form the convection heating surface while the drum and water-cooled walls on both sides form the radiation heating surface of the furnace. The active grate runs on the light rail with a 72-hour cold test run carried out before leaving the factory to ensure the smooth operation of grate without deviation or jamming.
