The eastern area of Beijing Tongzhou Economic Development Zone has a planned land area of 2.45 square kilometers. With the continuous development of the development zone and the project advancement of the “coal to gas” in Beijing, the previous three sets of 20T coal-fired heating boilers were in urgent need of being replaced with three sets of high-performance WNS series gas-fired hot water boilers from ZOZEN Boiler, to meet heating needs of existing and upcoming enterprises locating in the eastern zone of the development zone in winter seasons. It is understood that the project is mainly responsible for buildings heating in winter seasons with a total planned construction area of about 587,000 square meters in the eastern area of the development zone. The ZOZEN boilers use clean energy natural gas as fuel as well as adopting advanced low Nox burners which reduce more than 50% nitrogen oxide, and the flue gas is discharged through a 15-meter chimney. After the completion of the "coal to gas" boiler house, it could reduce 347.5t/a ash and slag on a yearly basis and save coal consumption nearly 6,000 tons.

The heating medium of this project uses high-temperature hot water to provide heat in indirect heating methods, that is the heating plant sends high-temperature hot water to each exchange station. It heats the circulating water of the secondary network by water-water heating exchange methods, and then the secondary network respectively sends heat to hot users.
