The fuel of a gas-fired boiler is gas such as natural gas, city gas, biogas and liquefied gas, etc. What kind of fuel the boiler burns is decided by an equipment called a burner. The boiler equipped with a gas-fired burner is called a gas-fired boiler. There are three methods of gas-fired boiler combustion as per technical characteristics of how the gas and air mix.
1. Diffusion combustion:
Gas and air mutually diffuse at the gas nozzle and are burning. The advantages are burning stably and with simple burner structure. However, the heated area is easy to be carbonized due to long flame, which is easy to produce incomplete combustion.
2. Premixed combustion:
A part of air and gas are premixed before combustion (coefficient of primary air surplus is between 0.2-0.8), and then being burned. The advantages are clear combustion flame, enhanced combustion, and high thermal efficiency.
Normally a boiler is provided with two independent sensors for emergency low water level burner cut-outs. So this would never happen. However, if it does, don't take any chances! Shut off the burners immediately!
Before you start raising the level in the boiler you have to find out if any part of the furnace walls has been overheated. If you raise the level over a glowing steel-wall then the boiler might produce more steam than the safety valves can handle and a nasty explosion would be the result.
1.Primary air is used for transportation of fine coal particle from coal mill to boiler floor at different elevations as per requirement.
2.Primary air is used for preheating of moisturised coal in to the coal mill so that minimum energy is required for combustion of the same.
3.As we all know that only 23% oxygen is available in the air by weight. For combustion of huge quantity of coal inside the boiler very high quantity of oxygen is required. This oxygen requirement will be completed by secondary air which is supplied by FORCED DRAFT fans through ducts.
This secondary air is coming via air preheater hence its outlet temperature increases this will help in combustion and low heat input is required for combustion of coal.
Biomass fuel can be applied to a biomass-fired boiler by treatment and compression molding. Commonly used are straw particles, rice husk particles, wood particles, sawdust particles, peanut rod particles, sugar aldehyde residue particles, palm shell particles and so on.
The coal-fired boiler refers to the boiler uses various types of coal as fuel and converts the heat of coal to steam or hot water.
There are generally two calculation methods of the circulating water volume of a coal-fired hot water boiler. One is to calculate the hourly water volume of one square meter and the other is to calculate the design parameter volume of every ton. As for the make-up water volume of this type of boiler, it is usually calculated as 1% to 3% of its total circulating water.
Four factors are related to the failure of the draft fan of the biomass-fired boiler. The factors are electric, electrical motors, dampers and induced draft fans. Therefore, if the draft fan breaks down, you can check the electric and electrical motor first, then you can check the damper and the induced fan.
Coal-fired boilers refer to boilers that use various kinds of coals as fuel and convert the heat value of coals to steam or hot water.
Some specific parameters should be provided to calculate the theoretical coal consumption of a set of 20 tph coal-fired boiler. If the rated steam pressure is 1 MPa, the heat value of coal is 7000 kcal / kg, the boiler inlet water temperature is 20 ° C, and the boiler thermal efficiency is 80%, the daily coal consumption is 50-56 tons.
Firstly, the combustion of biomass fuel is easy to control. The fuel is easy to ignite. Besides, the combustion speed is faster than that of coal.
