What are the causes and treatment methods for the extinguishment of the pulverized coal fired boiler?

The coal is usually smashed to be the pulverized coal for boiler combustion. This is an introduction to the causes and treatment methods for the extinguishment of the pulverized coal fired boiler.

The causes of pulverized coal fired boiler extinguishment

1) Equipment failure. The extinguishment of the pulverized coal fired boiler is largely affected by the boiler equipment. For instance, the blasting of boiler pressure-bearing heating surface can put out the flame in the furnace, and the stop of induced draft fan, forced draft fan and pulverized coal exhauster in work can cause the boiler extinguishment.

2) Operation problems. If the time of ash removal for coking prevention is too long, there can be a lot of cold air leaking into the furnace and cause the boiler extinguishment. What's more, too high boiler pressure and improper air regulation can also cause the boiler extinguishment.

3) Other problems. The low coal quality and sudden change of coal type which are beyond the boiler adaptability can cause the coal-fired boiler extinguishment.

The treatment methods of pulverized coal fired boiler extinguishment

1) Stop the pulverized coal supply. It is forbidden to use deflagration methods such as closing the air damper or continuing to feed the pulverized coal to star the fire. Stop the pulverized coal supply with sufficient ventilation, then the boiler can be ignited again.

2) Change the control. Change the automatic control to manual control, reduce the cooling water and boiler feed water and control the water level in the steam drum to avoid the rise of water level after re-igniting the boiler.

3) Trouble shooting. Remove the combustible materials in the furnace and flue gas duct and check the reason for failure, then the boiler can be ignited again and return to normal operation.
