What is the main difference between the structural diagram of vertical and horizontal coal hot water boilers?

17 Jun 2022

It can be found that there are the following differences between vertical coal-fired hot water boiler and horizontal coal-fired hot water boiler by analyzing the structural diagram of vertical coal-fired hot water boiler:

  1. The heat transfer of vertical coal-fired hot water boiler and horizontal coal-fired hot water boiler

The exhaust gas flow produced by the vertical coal-fired hot water boiler flows vertically to the heating surface from top to bottom, and the exhaust gas temperature distribution is uniform on the same section, which has good heat exchange performance and high utilization efficiency of the heating surface. The exhaust gas flow produced by the horizontal coal-fired hot water boiler flows horizontally, and the hot gas flows upward. The exhaust gas temperature is high and low on the same section, so the heat exchange performance is relatively poor, and the utilization effect of the heated surface is not very good.

  1. Ash cleaning of vertical and horizontal coal-fired hot water boilers

The vertical coal-fired hot water boiler is vertical to the heating surface pipeline of the boiler from top to bottom, and the ash deposited in the pipeline of the upper layer will be deposited in the next layer after being removed. Because of the high velocity of exhaust gas in horizontal hot-water boiler, the ash cleared from the front of the boiler is easily carried into the back by exhaust gas, and the back of the boiler is easily blocked with ash. When the vertical coal-fired hot water boiler and the horizontal coal-fired hot water boiler encounter the problem of ash cleaning, they can all adopt the method of continuous ash cleaning to solve the problem.

  1. Floor space of vertical and horizontal coal-fired hot water boilers

The vertical coal-fired hot water boiler occupies a relatively small area and space, which effectively solves the problem that some factories are not well equipped with boilers. At the same time, it also effectively shortens the length of waste gas pipeline and reduces the resistance. The horizontal coal-fired hot water boiler occupies a large area, and the exhaust gas pipeline at the inlet and outlet of the boiler is relatively long, which further increases the system resistance at the tail of the boiler.

  1. Steam-water circulation of vertical and horizontal coal-fired hot water boilers

Vertical coal-fired hot water boiler can meet the requirements of natural circulation of steam and water because of its height, which can reduce the boiler's fault points and power consumption. Horizontal coal-fired hot water boiler can't meet the natural circulation of steam and water from the height, so it is necessary to take forced circulation measures. Adopting the forced circulation pump not only increases the power consumption of the boiler itself, but also makes the forced circulation pump easy to be damaged and difficult to maintain because it runs at a relatively high pressure and high temperature. If the forced circulation pump cannot be repaired in time, it will affect the safety of the boiler.

With the accumulation of more than 30 years of manufacturing boilers, at present, ZOZEN Boiler have formed more than 400 varieties and specifications such as gas boilers, biomass boilers, coal boilers and thermal oil heaters, and are widely used in chemical industry, food industry, brewing, heating, paper making, printing and dyeing, rubber and other industries. At the same time, the main components of various series of boiler products in ZOZEN have been produced professionally and on a large scale, and most of the products can meet the needs of customers for short-term delivery.
