What are the advantages and disadvantages of air water heater compared with gas hot water boiler?
1. The fuel is different
The fuel of gas boiler is mainly natural gas, petroleum gas, gas, etc. The air energy water heater is powered by electric power and air energy to maintain the operation of the machine.
2. The cost is different
The air water heater unit is complex, mainly composed of four parts: compressor, condenser, evaporator and expansion valve, with higher cost, higher initial investment than gas boiler and higher maintenance cost. In terms of operating cost, it depends on the local gas price and electricity price, as well as the efficiency comparison between them.
3. The energy consumption of air energy water heaters is different
The energy consumption of air water heater is lower than that of gas-fired boiler at the beginning, but after several years of use, the efficiency of air-energy heat pump will decrease, the energy consumption will increase, and the maintenance investment will increase. However, the thermal efficiency of gas-fired boiler will not decrease too much with attention to maintenance.
4. Different environmental requirements
The energy efficiency ratio of air water heater is greatly affected by the ambient temperature. In cold conditions, in order to prevent the equipment from freezing, the air-energy water heater must run 24 hours, and the electricity consumption will increase sharply. Therefore, the problem of air-energy water heater in cold areas needs to be solved urgently. The energy efficiency of boiler is not affected by ambient temperature. And gas-fired boilers are usually installed indoors, while air-powered water heaters, like air conditioners, are installed outdoors.
5. The air energy water heater has different functions
The energy water heater can meet the needs of refrigeration, heating and domestic water; Gas-fired hot water boiler can meet the needs of heating and domestic hot water.
6. Different system requirements
The technical requirements of design and installation of air water heater system are higher than those of boiler. Gas-fired boilers are suitable for multi-energy complementation to improve comprehensive energy utilization rate, such as combined cooling, heating and power supply.
