ZOZEN WNS series steam boiler manaul for commissioning

ZOZEN energy-efficient WNS series gas/oil-fired steam boiler has two-pass or three-pass structure. This series of boiler adopts the large-diameter corrugated furnace and threaded smoke tubes with high heat transfer efficiency. With the economizer at the end of the flue gas duct, it can enlarge the boiler's heating surface, lower the exhaust gas temperature to 60℃ and improve the boiler's thermal efficiency to over 98%. Next, ZOZEN wants to introduce the commissioning issues of WNS series steam boiler.

1) WNS series steam boiler manaul for commissioning - control cabinet + burner

First, complete the wiring arrangement according to the wiring diagram of control cabinet and burner. Second, check the wiring of pressure controller, pressure transmitter, motor and other control equipment to ensure the accurate wiring. Last, check the input power circuit of the control cabinet to confirm that it meets the requirements.

2) WNS series steam boiler manaul for commissioning - water softener

Check and confirm the inlet and outlet of the softened water are installed correctly (there are corresponding marks on the boiler body). The inlet must be installed with a filter (not installed on this site). The inlet water pressure is generally set at about 3bar (specified range: 2bar- 5bar). It is recommended to add industrial salt to the soft water tank 5 hours in advance for better dissolution. The water inlet must be equipped with the water pressure gauge (not installed on this site). The water outlet pipeline must have valves and bypasses, and a sampling connection is required to be reserved on the pipeline.

3) WNS series steam boiler manaul for commissioning - feed water pump

First, confirm the inlet and outlet directions of the feed water pump are installed correctly. Then, before running, open the vent bolt on the water pump to exhaust the air in the water pump. It is strictly forbidden to run the pump without water. During the process, the soft water tank should maintain a high liquid level until there are no bubbles in the discharged water, and then tight the vent bolt to block the air out.

When running, ensure the rotary direction of the water pump is consistent with the arrow mark in the middle place between the pump and motor.

There is an arrow mark on the base of the pump to indicate the correct installation direction.

4) WNS series steam boiler manaul for commissioning - economizer

The economizer is generally used to reduce smoke temperature by heating water. The rotary direction of the circulating pump should be checked. After the water enters the economizer through the circulating pump, it returns to the water tank. It is advised to install a pressure gauge and a valve at the outlet of the water pump to limit the flow, and confirm they match with the electronic control protection device.

A pressure gauge should be installed at the outlet of the circulating pump to measure the inlet pressure of the economizer.

There is a drain pipe of condensate water on the economizer (not for vertical type), which should be connected separately and should not be connected to the sewage pipes.

Meanwhile, the drain pipes of condensate water at the front and back of the boiler and at the lower part of the flue gas chamber should not be connected to the sewage pipes of the boiler and should be connected with other pipes separately.

5) WNS series steam boiler manaul for commissioning - boiler water level

On both sides of the boiler water level, one is a monochrome water level gauge (both sides are monochrome) and the other is a two-color water level gauge. The 36V AC inputs to the electronic rectifier and then connects to two wires on the two-color water level gauge.

Before installing the water level gauge, the valve should be installed between the water level gauge and the boiler body.

6) WNS series steam boiler manaul for commissioning - U-type elbow

The pressure controller and pressure transmitter are connected to the same pipe with an U-type elbow. Generally, after the boiler has been running for 8-10 months, the flange to the connecting part and the flange to the boiler part need to be dredged to avoid blockage.

7) WNS series steam boiler manaul for commissioning - safety valve

Check and confirm the safety valve must match the working pressure of the boiler. Users shall decide whether they need to verify the safety valve according to the local instrument inspection  regulation.

8) WNS series steam boiler manaul for commissioning - burner commissioning

The gas-fired boiler: ensure that the gas pressure is lower than the highest pressure value of the gas train. Generally it is 20-35 Kpa. With the relief valve, the boiler can run normally. An input gas pressure gauge must be installed on the pipeline, as well as the gas filter, regulating valve, discharge pipe, and gas solenoid valve group.

The diameter of the gas pipe should be at least 1.2 times of the diameter of the boiler inlet.

There are 4 fuel gas alarm devices in the boiler system which are connected to the fuel gas controller to timely monitor and alarm for the occurrence of fuel gas leakage.

9) WNS series steam boiler manaul for commissioning - steam pipe system

The steam enters the steam distributor from the main steam outlet. During the process, steam flow will be controlled, regulated and distributed.
