ZOZEN hot medium heaters become outstanding “helper” in polyester industry

31 Oct 2018

Oil-fired (gas-fired) hot medium heaters developed by ZOZEN feature low pressure, high temperature, energy-efficient effect and fully automatic safe operation. This kind of hot medium heaters is suitable for a wide variety of fuels, like diesel, heavy oil, light oil, crude oil, natural gas, biogas, etc.. The thermal efficiency can reach above 95%. They are used for application in rubber, building materials, metallurgy, pharmaceutical, food and other industries. ZOZEN’s Oil-fired (gas-fired) hot medium heaters are particularly popular in the polyester industry.

Hot medium heaters are used to provide thermal energy during the esterification and polycondensation in the polyester industry. The temperature of the polycondensation reaction must be higher than the melting temperature of the polymer in the production process, which makes the most suitable temperature range for polycondensation be 275-290 degrees. In order to shorten the reaction time, the reaction temperature of esterification must be higher than the boiling point of alcohol, which makes the reaction temperature of esterification need to be 265-295 degrees. Therefore, it is really important for polyester plants to purchase energy-efficient hot medium heaters.

Singapore Highpolymer Chemical Products Pte Ltd (SHCP) founded in 1974, has supplied high quality unsaturated polyester resins to over 50 countries worldwide. In line with their global expansion, SHCP has gradually expanded its production capacity from 12,000 MT TO 36,000 MT per year. Therefore, SHCP planned to order several hot medium heaters to meet the needs of product lines. After visiting ZOZEN’s unique technology of hot medium heaters, SHCP had great confidence in the quality of ZOZEN’s hot medium heaters, which made them cooperate with ZOZEN without any hesitation.

ZOZEN recommended one set of 1.4MW oil-fired hot medium heater for SHCP by knowing their actual demand. This kind of hot medium heaters adopts multi-return coil tubes for safer operation, more sufficient heating surface and higher efficiency. Furthermore, the recovery systems of residual heat from flue gas provided by ZOZEN can maximum thermal energy practical efficiency. After a period of stable operation, SHCP really appreciated these hot medium heaters.

ZOZEN’s hot medium heaters are well-known in the polyester industry all over the world in 2018. They not only create a good reputation in Singaporean polyester industry, but also attract other polyester enterprises in Vietnam, India, Bangladesh and many other countries to partner with ZOZEN.
