What are the influencing factors of boiler efficiency decline?

17 Dec 2021

Boiler efficiency refers to the percentage of boiler effective utilization heat to boiler input heat per unit time, that is, the percentage of effective utilization heat per standard cubic meter of gas fuel. ZOZEN gas-fired boilers all adopt large furnace design, with the efficiency as high as 98% and NOx emission as low as 30mg/Nm3.

The heat loss of gas-fired boiler mainly comes from two aspects: unreasonable combustion air-fuel ratio and heat loss of exhaust gas.

1. Unreasonable combustion air-fuel ratio

When there is too much air, a lot of extra cold air will be heated, which will increase the energy consumption of the boiler and decrease the thermal efficiency of the boiler. When the air is insufficient, incomplete combustion will occur, which will lead to the decrease of the efficiency of gas-fired boiler.、

2. Exhaust heat loss

If the temperature of flue gas after fuel combustion is too high when it is discharged, it means that all the released heat is not supplied to the water in the boiler, and this heat is discharged into the air as waste gas, which will reduce the efficiency of gas-fired boiler and the energy-saving effect. The reasonable exhaust temperature is 60℃.
