What are the differences between the vertical and horizontal gas-fired boiler?

The vertical type and horizontal type are the two main types of boiler. The vertical gas-fired boiler has small volume and is suitable for small workshops or small production enterprises. It is often used in the fields of hot water and heating. The horizontal gas-fired boiler has larger volume with a wider application range than the vertical gas-fired boiler.

The differences between the vertical and horizontal gas-fired boiler

1) Size

Compared with the vertical gas-fired boiler, the horizontal gas-fired boiler is smaller in size and more convenient for installation.

2) Structure

The vertical boiler is commonly water tube boiler and the horizontal boiler is commonly fire tube boiler.

3) Working time

The tubular boiler has simple structure, small water volume and quick steam production; while the horizontal gas-fired boiler has sufficient output, strong load adaptability and long-term operation stability.

4) Steam quality

The horizontal gas-fired boiler has steam drum to ensure the steam quality. However, the vertical gas-fired boiler has no steam drum for steam and water separation. Its steam has more water content and its steam quality is difficult to meet the requirements specified in General Technical Conditions for Industrial Boilers.
