Yushuwan Coal Mine is a large modern mine planned by the National Development and Reform Commission. It is located in Yuyang District, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province, a state-level energy and chemical base. Founded in 2012, Yushuwan Coal Mine covers an area of 88.9 square kilometers. It has 1.805 billion tons of geological coal reserves. The design capacity of the coal mine has reached 20 million tons of coal a year. With features of ultra-low ash, ultra-low sulfur, ultra-low phosphorus, rich in oil, high calorific value and good thermal stability, the coal mine is very popular with domestic and foreign customers.

Yushuwan Coal Mine has been devoted to building a Chinese first-class mine all the time. In order to actively respond to the air pollution prevention actions, Yushuwan Coal Mine decided to replace the existing coal-fired boilers with low NOx gas-fired boilers which use clean energy as fuel.

Through calculation and analysis of the heating required for the production and living of Yushuwan Coal Mine, ZOZEN provided a scientific and reasonable boiler solution including a set of WNS series gas-fired boiler and two sets of SZS gas-fired boilers. The WNS series boiler will be operated to provide hot water for bathing all year round. And, the SZS boilers will be operated 180 days a year to provide heating for the whole mine in winter. This boiler solution not only can meet the requirements of production and living, but also can improve the utilization rate of thermal energy.

Meanwhile, every ZOZEN gas-fired boiler adopts a low NOx burner to meet the low NOx emission requirement. Through the utilization of staged combustion technology, the combustion can be divided into two stages. In the first stage of fuel combustion, with 70-80% supply of combustion air, the fuel is burning under oxygen-deficient condition; In the second stage, sufficient air is supplied to ensure the completed combustion of fuel. But only a small amount of NOx is generated owing to the lower flame temperature.

Three sets of ZOZEN gas-fired boilers successfully passed the third-party EIA test on April 22. The test result shows that the flue gas NOx content is 14-17mg / m³, which is far lower than the environmental protection standard of 30mg / m³.

The considerate services and excellent product quality of ZOZEN got the recognition of Yushuwan Coal Mine. At present, the installation of the 3 sets of boilers of this project has been completed. When the boilers are officially put into use, the boiler room will reduce 8000 tons of coal a year, which will greatly reduce the annual emissions of smoke, SO2, NOx, assist the coal mine to realize clean heating and significantly improve the local air quality.
